Tumaga Footbridge Turnover Ceremony
Brgy. Tumaga, Zamboanga City, Mindanao, Philippines

Ambassador Kenney joins Mayor Lobregat in cutting the ceremonial ribbon marking the official turn-over of the Tumaga Footbridge to the community. The facility is among 823 barangay infrastructure projects (BIP) being built by the GEM Program across conflict-affected areas in Mindanao. In Zamboanga City, GEM is constructing 25 BIPs, which will be completed by August 2007. The footbridge will benefit the 24,500 residents of Brgy. Tumaga, allowing farmers and traders to expand economic activities and improve access to health, education and social services.
