After USAID's Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program upgraded Lamitan port to more efficiently move fresh produce, a local farming cooperative is making higher profits, and it's success is encouraging other farmers to expand their own agricultural production.  Through the GEM Program, USAID is helping to bring peace in Mindanao and islands of the Sulu Archipelago, while accelerating sustainable economic growth.

A local cooperative of fish growers are reeling in higher profits thanks to the efficiencies of a new live fish transporter.  With the support of USAID's Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program, the Targeted Commodity Expansion Project is providing this group of former rebel fighters with the tools to cut out middle men and to deliver the freshest product to Asian markets.
