| CIPYML “Alumni” Contribute to ARMM Development |

U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Leslie Bassett (seated, 2nd from right) and Reed Aeschliman, Deputy Mission Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) (standing 2nd from right), recently met with graduates of the Congressional Internship Program for Young Mindanao Leaders (CIPYML) in Pandag, Maguindanao. CIPMYL is managed by USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program in partnership with the Philippines House of Representatives, under the oversight of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA). The CIPYML graduates are (standing, l-r) Abdelnur Campong, now an IT specialist with the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) government; Selahuddin Hashim, consultant-manager for a Mindanao-wide health program; Hanie Bud, executive director of the ARMM Bangsamoro Youth Affairs Office; and (seated, l-r) Nor Ayn Makakena, communications specialist for a World Bank program; Jehan Alangca, legal officer in the Office of the Attorney General-ARMM; and ARMM Regional Cabinet Secretary Norkhalila Mae Mambuay-Campong.
