Young people learn computer skills

Computer Literacy and Internet Connection (CLIC) Project. CLIC introduced computer and internet education to 253 high schools in conflict-affected areas since 2008 by providing internet-connected computers and related teacher training.

Education Matching Grant Project. EMGP provided peso-for-peso matching grants to the PTAs of over 450 schools since 2008 to enable them to undertake education improvement activities such as the establishment of libraries, science laboratories and multimedia computer centers.

Job Enabling English Proficiency (JEEP) Project. JEEP will improve the effectiveness and utility of English language instruction programs at colleges and universities in Mindanao, to help increase their graduates’ employability in industries requiring English language proficiency.  Over 14,000 students are participating in late 2011, with over 27,000 students participating since 2009. USAID has suspended its participation in the JEEP English language training project in Mindanao pending further review.

Investments in Vocational, Elementary, Secondary and Tertiary Studies (INVESTS). INVESTS provides students with financial support to enable them to take advantage of educational opportunities or training. 

Productive Internships In Dynamic Enterprises (PRIDE). PRIDE is an internship program that provides qualified recent college graduates with 3 to 6 month internships in national or multinational firms.
