Information and news about the USAID Growth with Equity in Mindanao III (GEM 3) Project

Farmers in conflict-affected Buldon, Maguindanao Province, are briefed on different varieties of ginger by an agriculture specialist of USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program, which is implemented under the oversight of the Mindanao Development Authority. Since 2008, through its Targeted Commodity Expansion Project, the GEM Program has provided training on higher-value agriculture to more than 5,700 Mindanao vegetable producers, and helped grower groups expand their market outreach in Luzon and the Visayas.
